This year we continued to support members participation in the Women in Conservation Breakfast hosted by Trust for Nature and Bush Heritage Australia!

After the success an interest in the screening we hosted at Rosebud in 2025, we held an EOI Process and selected Sue Finley to attend in person behalf of ARCVic this year!

Thank you to ArcVic for the wonderful opportunity to be in the room this morning. 

It was amazing to be in the room with over 500 women and allies who work and support the conservation and environment industry.

Many times, throughout my career I have felt alone in the work we do, and it is events like today that provide the jolt of enthusiasm for this work. Working collaboratively, supporting students, friend’s (volunteers) colleagues and stakeholders make this work way more fun! 

Keynote speaker Lisa Miller provided an inspiring presentation on how we need to capitalise this work, support it regenerate it and share our conservation stories.

Sitting in the room as a representative of ARCVic was a great experience as it made me think about how we can do more, share more and provide that support for our colleagues to continue the conservation journey and not feel isolated.

We can capitalise support for Rangers and Conservationists alike.
In small ways and I think this would be a great cause to get behind….
Trust For Nature and Bush Heritage are fundraising to fund/support paid internships to help kick-start emerging professionals in the industry. Already this morning they raised over $60,000.00 to fill two internships.
